 The
Rt. Hon. Mike Harcourt Mayor of
Vancouver, BC, was on board the first of the S
Class Ferries, for it's commissioning, early 1990's
My family and I were also at the ceremonies with one of the
1:150 scale models, commissioned by BC Ferries.
The picture above top, of the Spirit of British Columbia
shows the vessel after it's refit in 2005. Six
of the original models were built, three were of the
"Spirit of British Columbia",
and three were of the "Spirit of
Vancouver Island". |
